Our Services
Vocational Evaluation
This service includes a careful review of a person's medical, work and educational history to identify strenghts and barriers in terms of employability. A battery of tests is then administered to assess the person's academic achievement, aptitude levels, as well as his/her work interests. A list of suitable employment and training options is then generated, with recommended steps to facilitate the person's return to work. This assessment takes approximately 5 hours.
Transferable Skills Analysis (TSA)
This service involves no formal testing but consists of a careful review of a person's medical and work history to identify his/her transferable skills. The person's work interests are also discussed and taken into consideration for the selection of suitable employment/training options. This assessment requires approximately 2 hours.
Labour Market Survey
Once employment options have been identified through a vocational evaluation or a TSA, it is sometimes necessary to determine if jobs are available in a particular geographical area. The labor market survey provides the following information:
- An economic profile of a person's local geographic area.
- Employment prospects for the recommended occupations.
- Job postings and local salary information.
Career Options provides assessment services at any of the referral source's offices within Toronto and its surrounding areas:
